Rosie & Her New Family

A Note from Rosie's Family -
8/7/2006:
Hi Carrie and Lyn, well, as you
can imagine, we are IN LOVE with our new puppy. The ride
home went smoothly (although there were some cries toward the end of
the drive to our house
for her family, both human and dog), but we played with her a lot when
we got home to make her feel better.
The first night was a bit rough
(no one slept much), but last night she slept an entire 7 hours w/o
waking!
And as we have fallen in love with her, Rosie seems to be doing the
same with us. I came home last night
with J after his power skating clinic and she just couldn’t wait to
greet us and play with us, her little tail going
a million miles per hour. And the same was true this morning when she
woke up. She is such a sweet
little girl … smart too, the harder we try to keep her fenced in the
family room, the smarter she is at finding
ways out ;-) I guess she just wants to be where we are, even if we
are only a few feet away for just a minute or two.
The best time of the day with
Rosie is the first couple of hours in the morning when she is in full
“puppy” mode ;-)
She runs and runs, bounding around kind of hopping on all four feet at
once. She nibbles on our ears, our toes,
our fingers, and on my beard on my chin, and she licks us all the
more. She loves playing with all of her little
balls and squeak toys, and especially likes chasing the toy we tied to
a string. Then throughout the rest
of the day, she sleeps for ½ an hour to an hour or so and gets back up
and goes at it all again.
We take her to her first vet
appointment in a little under an hour, so she will soon be able
to meet the rest of our family’s schnauzers (there are two
mini’s in our close family).
~~~~~~
Hi Carrie, the vet appointment went VERY well today. In fact,
the vet himself LOVED her. He even
got down on the floor and played with her a bit :-) He said she
seemed very healthy both physically
and mentally and said he could tell how well she was taken care of
while she was with you.
He told us we have a GREAT dog and that the way she was raised by you
at home with your
family was the absolute best way she could have been raised.
So thank you again for our sweet little girl, Rosie :-)
Laurel, Her New Sister Willow
& New Family
A Note from Laurel's Family:
First of all, it was so nice meeting you on
Saturday. You can really tell that you
are excellent breeders who love your dogs. I am really glad you
got to meet Willow.
If it wasn't for Willow, we never would have known what an intelligent
and great breed
the Standard Schnauzer is. We will never be without a Standard. We
have our
first vet appt. for Laurel today. She is just so precious and so
smart. She learns
something new everyday and I think she is adapting well to her new
home.
She thinks she owns the place, so mommy and daddy have to start
reminding
her who the pack leaders are!! She gets into everything, but it is so
much fun to
have a puppy around to play with. She and Dweezil are starting to
play a little bit, but
we keep a close watch, so Dweezil doesn't hurt her or her ears. I
can't believe
that this sweet little creature is going to grow into a beautiful
schnauzer, hopefully
just like her mother. I will let you know how her vet appt.
goes.
